PAT VOZZA

BASS

Pat started her Sweet Adeline career at the age of 18, joining the Decatur, IL chorus and in three months, they won their Regional competition.  Later, she joined the San Diego Chorus who won their Regional competition after coming in 2nd two times.

Her first quartet, the California Carousels, won their first Novice contest, placing 3rd in the Regional Competition.  Her succeeding quartets placed in the top five also, so when High Society won their first Regional Competition in Pasadena, and took 4th place at International that same year, Pat thought everyone started out placing in the top five at every contest!!!  The next year, High Society won the International Championship, and shortly after, Pat started directing Singing Hills Chorus in La Mesa, CA, who won the Small Chorus Award and Most Improved.

Another quartet formed upon High Society’s first annual retirement.  As bass of that quartet, California Suite, who took 5th in that contest, Pat had yet another ‘top five’ experience.

After moving to Springfield, Missouri, she directed the Ozark Showcase chorus and brought them to the top five in that region, ultimately gaining 180 points over their previous experiences.

She is now directing QUEEN CITY SOUND in Springfield, MO, which was able to charter in 9 months, and with 16 members on stage, took 3rd place in the Small Chorus Division, placing 6th overall, in their very first contest!

After years of singing, directing, serving on boards, teaching choreography, coaching, participating in the judging program, and quarteting, Pat enjoys spending time with her grandson, Brady.  She looks forward to many more years of making music and, of course, spending time with Brady!
