Sandy joined Sweet Adelines in 1969. After several
beginning experiences in
quarteting, she got together with Kim, Bette, and Pat in the autumn
of 1974,
and realized the fun had just begun. As the Baritone of High
Society, she
had the privilege of slotting her voice between the other three
stellar
voices. What fun that is!
While singing with the San Diego Chorus, who won International in
1975, she
served as Chorus President. For many years she was Section Leader
for
Baritones with San Diego, helping to impart the fun and technique of
singing
THE BEST PART!
After a number of idle quarteting years, Fanatix was formed and
another
International Quartet Championship was brought home in 2001, along
with a
Chorus Gold medal with the San Diego Chorus' win in Portland. Two
Gold
Medals in one week--a stunning experience!
Sandy coaches, teaches and enjoys sharing her love of our unique
style of
harmony.
As a Travel Agent, she has traveled the world, always finding new,
great
places to explore. She also lays claim to the World's Most Perfect
Grandchildren, Jennifer and Matthew Shelver.
